The Week!!!

This week was awesome! so many things went our way!!!! we were able to see a lot of miracles!!

First of all we had a few baptisms!! First i am going to tell you about Vicencia!! she is cicero´s mom!! we found her along time ago, but she has been really hard to get a hold of! she is always traveling because one of her kids is really sick! well we got a hold of her this week!! and we taught her! as you know vicencia used to smoke a lot! and so about a month ago we taught her the word of wisdom! and to my surprise she stopped smoking! she went from smoking about 30 cigarettes to nothing! well this week we finally caught back up with her. we taught her the word of wisdom again and we found out that she was smoking a few cigarettes again! and we found out that she was drinking coffee! so we made a goal with her, and SHE QUIT!! she didn´t smoke or drink coffee all week! she qualified herself for baptism. she was interviewed and she passed!!! but she had quite a bit of motivation through all of this! at the first of this last week we found out that cicero and redivan would be receiving the priesthood, and cicero is 17 years old! so we told her that her own son would be able to baptize her. that worked miracles in vicencias life!! and so that is what happened. on sunday in priesthood, cicero was ordained a priest! and redivan was ordained a deacon! it was amazing! the first time in my mission to see one of my investigators get the priesthood! it was a really neat experience! they are awesome young men! then after church we had the baptisms!! cicero was pretty nervous! but he did awesome! he first baptized his mom and then he baptized his little sister that is 8 years old!!!

we then had a few more baptisms! and they were also miracles! along time ago we got a reference from the county fair that happened here in crato! and elder gibson and i went to visit it about 3 weeks ago! we went there and the family wasn´t interested at all! but we went back for the second time and we found 3 sisters, simone, sirlania, and silvania! at first they weren´t to interested either, but then one by one they all became very interested! they started going to the english class, all the young women activities and church meetings! so this last week we went there, set a baptismal date for this week and they accepted!! it was really neat!!

this transfer is awesome all ready! i love my companion elder fujisawa! he is the man! he works super super hard!! and he challenges me to keep up with him! we have made some really good goals, and a plan of action so that we can meet them!!! i feel like i have brought my mission speed up to the next level!! i love it! it´s super hard, but you just have a different feeling about the work!! a feeling that just makes you keep working!

elder fujisawa is from sao paulo!! his name is japanese, but he is brasilian!! he is really cool!!! he joined the church when he was 12 years old, and he used to be buddhist! so its kind of cool learning about Buddhism. ha-ha!! its really interesting!! he is twenty one years old! before his mission he decided to do the army, so that made him come on his mission a little late!!

the Lord is blessing us so much!! he is leading us to a lot of really amazing people and families! the other night we didn´t have much to do so we were knocking doors, we were just walking around on streets that i have never walked and we found an amazing family! the dad is, tavares the mom is, ana and their kid, is fred!! they are kind of an upper class family and they are really awesome! i really felt good when i was around them!! pray for them. i know it wasn´t just by chance that we found them!! we will be teaching them on wednesday!!

ahhhh! this week is general conference!! i can´t believe it!! i can´t believe that 6 months have already blown by!! can you???? its going to be an awesome weekend!!! we get to HEAR THE WORDS OF THE PROPHETS!!! and from what i hear i will be able to hear them in english! i am super excited!!!

well i can´t think of much else! i am sure i am forgetting something!! but i will just have to move on!!... i know that this church is true! this is the work of the Savior! he leads and guides us as missionaries, and as members of the church!! Jesus Christ lives!! the atonement is real!! as people turn to him they can overcome anything! it was amazing to watch vicencia!! she felt the spirit and she was able to stop smoking without a problem! Heavenly Father loves all of his children!! if we keep the commandments we will be blessed!!! i know that the plan of salvation is real!! families are forever!!
