HELLOOO!!!

Elder Rosario and I threw Jonathan's brother a birthday party!

this week passed by super fast! i think faster than ever! we did soooo many things that it is hard to distinguish the specific days. it all seems a blur to me!
well on tuesday after district meeting, i did a split or a division with the assistants to the president. i went with an elder called, elder slagle! he is from california and has about 1 year and 5 months on his mission! he is an awesome elder and i sure learned a lot! it was fun to see how another american does this work. he is an elder that really shows love for the people and really talks to them like this is the only way to return to our Heavenly Father. so he helped me a lot.
then on thursday we did another split with the district leader in our zone. i stayed in my area and elder james came to my area while elder rosario went away and stayed with elder cunha (the district leader). it was a good day as well. i was able to get more used to my area, because i had to find all the houses by myself, so that was good! elder james has super red hair and super white skin! so it was interesting to see the reactions of the people as we walked on the street. it was pretty funny.

this past week we have been preparing a girl named lorena and two young men, alex and jonathan to be baptized. we have been teaching lorena now for about a month she has been so excited to get baptized. and the two young men are children of a member that have been going to church for a while. so we started teaching them this week. so because of these three we were pretty excited all week to baptize them. and everything was going good. everyone was super excited until yesterday (sunday). we took our district leader to interview the two boys and alex ended up not wanting to get baptized. he stayed in the interview forever, but in the end decided that he wanted to wait more time. luckily jonathan wanted to get baptized and that was was last night. he is 17 years old and is a very nice and a very easy to be around kid! he also choose me to baptized him. so it was a very special experience! since these two young boys live on the opposite side of the city from lorena, we had a member go by her house to get her. but as the member got there she also didn’t want to get baptized. it was very sad to see the member show up to the church last night without lorena. i am very curious to know why she didn’t want to go! so yesterday was a bit frustrating but very good at the same time. the Spirit was super strong at the baptism. and patrick went and watched. it was good for him to see.

and another strange thing that has been happening this week is that we haven’t been able to get water in our house. what i mean by this, is the water to take a shower and to wash dishes, etc.. i don’t know why. maybe the water company is struggling or something, but it has been rather strange. last night the water finally came at about midnight. it’s weird, at random times we will have water! but all is good!
we are still working with patrick adn lidiane. things are going good. we have a few things to work out still, but they will be baptized soon!!
i know that this church is true! i love it! the gospel of Jesus Christ is amazing. it changes lives! i know that the holy ghost is real and that he testifies of the truth. because he testifies to me every day that this is the truth. that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that the book of Mormon is the word of God!!
I love you all so much! i hope that everything is going good for all of you! i hope that this valentines day is very special. (dad, take mom out to do something!!!) and i thank you for all the prayers and support!
Love Elder T. Larsen
P.S. it was ross´s birthday the other day on the 11th. wish him a late happy birthday for me!!!
