Well, let me start on the begging of last week. monday night we had a family night at a recent converts house. a lot of members and investigators showed up as you will be able to see in the pictures. patrick and lidiane were there. that night i told them i wanted to take a picture of them so that my mom could see their faces and pray for them. being able to visualize them. they thought that was neat and they were willing to take a picture. so there you go mom! ha-ha!!!
we also had two baptisms on friday. they were of a brother and sister. their names are lucas and paula. lucas is 15 and paula is 10. i haven’t mentioned them before because honestly i didn’t think that they would progress very well. we started to teach them last week and they were unproductive lessons. nobody paid attention. lucas didn’t want to stop drinking coffee and do other things. so i wanted to give up on them. but a miracle happened! they went to church last sunday and felt the Spirit really strong. in the past they had already gone to church several times, but never with the purpose to find out if the church was true. so last sunday, they went and found out it was true! and because of that they began to progress really fast to the point that since last sunday lucas hasn’t drank coffee! so we prepared them to be baptized and they were on saturday. then yesterday they were confirmed and i was able to stand in the circle at their confirmations.
This is the baptism of Lucas and Paula. she is a talented little girl. After their baptisms they were feeling really strong because of the Spirit!
saturday night we received the transfer call. and yes i stayed in sumare. but sadly elder rosario got transfered. he went to juazeiro which is right next to crato. i was super sad that he left. it sure isn’t going to be the same. but my new companion is elder pereira. and we are both the zone leaders. it is his first time being zone leader. i believe he has 1 year and 6 months on his mission. i lived with him back when i was in mondubim. he is a good guy so we will see how it goes. he is from sao paulo!
but one of the best things about the week was my packages. i received three!! thank you so much mom! i feel so spoiled. everybody gets jealous of me. ha-ha. but i loved what i got. my football, the wingers amazing sauce, the marshmallow matey´s!! everything is perfect. and i love my new garments. it is so nice! they are perfectly white!!!!! ha-ha! and comfortable!! thank you!
Well, i must go! i love you all so much! this church is true. i am so grateful for the sacrifices! they are helping our lives immensely! stay strong! you are not alone. Jesus Christ is our Savior and can help any one of us!
Love you,
