HELLO!

hello!! how are you all doing! i am so happy that you all made it safely to washington and that you are all together. take lots of pictures!! washington, by the sound of it, seems like a pretty good and beautiful place. if it is like vernal it must be amazing.  ha-ha! the snow looks really fun too! it will be fun to play in it with all of you! that is so awesome to see a picture of shiloh. i bet he is awesome. he has grown? that’s something that i haven’t done on my mission! it would be nice to get another inch or two.
well this week was amazing! we saw so many miracles and everything started out with our conference with elder bednar!! i am still on a high from that!
we have been teaching moura all week and he is keeping all of the commandments. we taught him the word of wisdom last monday and since then he hasn’t drank any more coffee. when we taught him he said that he was extremely addicted to coffee. but he has great faith and believes that with the Lord’s help he would be able to do it. he is so awesome! on friday, when we asked him if he was ready for his baptism he said that he was. it was so awesome to hear that response. sometimes people say that they want more time to prepare. but he is prepared and he knows it. sadly in all things somehow the enemy gets in the way. saturday moura found out that he had to work sunday. so yesterday he wasn’t baptized. but we have already marked him for this sunday. so pray that everything works out.
we have also been teaching a young man named cleiton. he is awesome. he is also preparing himself for baptism this week. he received a really strong answer that this church is true. he said that he was dreaming and in his dream it was told to him that this church is true!
there is also a kid named lucas that has been coming to church alone. he came last week. but when we asked for his address he didn’t know it. so we didn’t have anyway to find him to teach him last week. but yesterday he went to church again and we were able to go to his house and get his address. he said that he is going to church so that he can get baptized. complete miracle!!!!
then saturday we were teaching cleiton and we met his half brother (flavio). so we went to his house and met his whole family. we found out that about 5 years ago flavio was baptized and now he has a few younger brothers that can be baptized who are lucas and davi. but best of all, his mother also can be baptized. his mother is lucilene. she told us that she used to attend church but because of a few problems she wasn’t baptized and she went inactive. so she said that it was for sure that God had sent us to find her again. yesterday they all went to church. it was amazing. she has a lot of kids.
the Lord is blessing us so much! i love this work, it is so alive and as our investigators know!! i too know that this is the church of Jesus Christ! i know that the book of mormon is true and most of all i know that Jesus Christ is my and our Savior. i know the atonement to be true. i love studying about it! it makes everything make sense. without it, nothing makes sense. i know that through it we can have eternal life. i know that today we are led and guided by a prophet and apostles! they are men of God and are real!!
thank you for everything! i love you al so much!
Elder T. Larsen
