We Started An English Class!

Hello everyone!! well this week has been really good! we have been teaching a lot of great people!! and a lot of things have been happing!!
this week we started to teach an english class! it was awesome! we had a big sign made, and we placed it outside on the fence of the church. and on saturday when the class started at 5 in the afternoon, about 50 people showed up! so good numbers for our first class. after the english class the branch had a cake activity, so a bunch of the english class students stayed to participate!! so we are already seeing a bunch of fruits from the english class! a bunch of people are anxious to hear the true gospel!
unfortunately we didn’t have our baptisms this week! we are kind of in an odd situation! we have 3 teenage girls that should be getting baptized. their names are olga, carolina, and joyce! but the problem is, is that carolina and joyce’s parents won’t let them be baptized and olga said that she wants to receive another answer! so we are going to be praying really hard for them this week!!
this week in crato is the start of a huge catholic party!! its call "a festa de nossa senhora". which means the party of our lady, who is mary, the mother of Jesus Christ! it is crazy! it is so sad to see how confused people are! everybody here in crato pretty much worships her! it’s sad. they think that through her they can talk to God! so this week might be a bit difficult, but we will see!
but for some really good news! last night, elder santos called me (who was my trainer) and he told me that Aldalgiza and Nonato were baptized back in henrique jorge yesterday! i couldn´t believe it!! i don´t know if you remember them. my second week in my mission we baptized their two sons, renan and renato. but aldalgiza and nonato couldn´t be baptized because they weren´t married, and nonato needed to first get divorced from his first wife that he married 21 years ago! so it was a really long and hard process to get them married! but i guess they finally got it figured our and they got married last friday and were baptized yesterday! so still i am able to see the blessings of missionary work that was done in other areas! i was so happy when i heard this news!!
I love this gospel!! it is true!! i know that Jesus Christ is our Savior! i know that the atonement is real! i love my mission! i am learning so much! i am so grateful for everything that i am learning! sometimes it’s hard because i see all the weaknesses that i have! but i know that through the atonement my weaknesses can be made strong! the gospel is perfect. we are so blessed to belong to it! sometimes i don´t understand why i was so blessed because i was just born into it!!
i love you all so much! thank your for everything! thank you for all the support and prayers! i pray for you all every night!! i hope that you have a wonderful week! know that i know that this church is true and that families are forever!!
Love your son and brother!!
Elder Tyler Hugh Larsen
p.s. i really want you to take pictures of the new clinic building so i can see how it turned out!!!!!!

Today for p-day we went to a huge statue of a very famous man! His name is Padre Cicero! He used to be a big Pope or something back in the day! Here in Crato everybody worships him. So.....we thought would honor him and take a trip to his statue! It was pretty amazing. He is a very big man!!!! I hope you enjoy the pics! It was a fun trip!
