Well this last week has been great. i think that this transfer will be awesome!! first of all i am glad to see that dad’s surgery was a success! i hope that all goes back to normal!!
that is so awesome that you have met elder king’s parents. i want you to know that elder king is probably one of the best missionaries i have ever met. i love him to death. he is a great friend and i really look up to him. so if he is this good, i can’t even imagine his parents, they must be great people! i want to meet them too.
i liked hearing about the book of mormon activity that you did with the youth. sounds like we have some awesome missionaries in the ward.
i would also like to get corey´s address. is he still living in fort collins?
well for the week. it was really good. we were able to get a lot of work done. elder cunha is awesome. just a fun fact….. cunha means wedge in english. he is a lot like me. we get along really well. he is from the interior of sao paulo! and i have addicted him to american football. all week he lays on his bed at night and throws the football in the air and today we went to the church and threw it around. he loves it! i am grateful that he is my companion.
well this week we had a baptism of a littlie boy named leonardo. we call him leo. he is 8 years old and is liana’s little brother that was baptized last week. he was so happy to be baptized. he just smiled the whole time. all kids under the age of 14 have to go to church 4 times now to be baptized and he was faithful and did all the visits. he is a fun little kid and has a lot of energy and always shows his love for us.
on saturday, I was getting a bit nervous because we didn’t have many investigators that were progressing. so as one appointment didn’t work out saturday night, we started to look for new people to teach. all of a sudden i saw a man standing outside his house and i immediately went to talk to him. it was like i could control myself! as we started to talk to him, he let us in with pleasure and we soon met him and his wife and two kids. they are a perfect family. their names are manuel, selma and the kids victor and levi. we taught them and the lesson went really well. they accepted everything! then i invited them to go to church and they said, why not!! after the lesson i was super happy and knew the Lord guided us to them. then yesterday morning we went to get them for church and guess what? they were all ready and at the door waiting for us. it was amazing! they went to church and said that they really liked it. so we are excited to work with them. we also took several youth to church. so we will have a full week teaching them.
this week we will be working with cristina, leandro, and raquel to get them baptized. so pray for them. at church luana and raimunda were confirmed. raimunda is amazing. it isn’t easy for her to go to church. but she has faith and went.
i love this gospel. and i love my missions. sacrifice makes everything sweet. its difficult at times but its all worth it. i love you all so much! be happy!! and have a good week.
love elder t. larsen
