well this week was crazy!! we started out working really really hard. we contacted about half the references that we received and these people are really good people!! many of them i know will progress and be baptized!
saturday morning we taught a women named meire. it was interesting how we found her (ask me later how) and she was really really interested. she is married and has kids and is really excited to go to church. she didn’t go yesterday because they had already planned to do some things. but this sunday they will go.
this week we will have for sure 1 baptism. it is a young man named marcos. he is the smartest young man ever. his mom is a member but a little inactive. so he already knows a lot of things. every time we went to teach him he surprised me. he is very very excited to be baptized.
we are also working with raquel. she got married to a member a couple of weeks ago but is being a bit difficult. she has a lot of questions and doubts and every single one of them we answered. she just needs to pray and exercise faith.
there is also another young man that we are preparing. he will be baptized on the 17th. his name is david. he is cleiton’s friend that was baptized last week.
now for the sad news…. on thursday this week, elder p. melo woke up sick and stayed sick until yesterday. it was a different experience for us. it was really hard staying home and not being able to work. i definitely realized how much i love to teach people! this work is amazing, but everything is good now. so this week should be awesome!
i love this gospel. i love my Savior. i know he lives! and that through him as we follow the gospel we will prepare ourselves to go back to our heavenly home. i know the book of mormon is true. that book is amazing! read it! i know that we are lead and guided by prophets today!
i love you all so much! keep strong and be happy!
Love Elder T. Larsen
