Hellooooooooo!!!

I sent Tyler this picture of Landon's wedding. I don't know what he said to Landon but we are all happy for them! Congratulations Landon and Olivia!

é real? landon realmente se casou! recebi as fotos! tenho duas coisas pra te dizer, parabens!! e vc nao me esperou. recebi o convite do casamento mas nao pude ir! :(........... mas estou muito feliz por voces!! voces parecem um casal feliz e lindo.!!! espero ouvir noticias lando!! quero saber, como foi!

well!! the week was good!! i really enjoyed it!!! we were able to work really hard and get quite a bit done!

first of all i would like to tell you about the huge miracle that happened. we have been teaching for the past month, a young man name helder. helder has the same pronunciation as elder.  he is 20 years old. he is cristina´s boyfreind that was baptized a few weeks ago. we tried to baptize him last week, but it seemed as though he had lost the fire. last week he told us that he didn´t want to get baptized but that he would continue to go to church with cristina. so all this last week we had been thinking about what we could teach to him to help him. we had been thinking about it for a good couple of days, then on last tuesday we realized that we had just been teaching him baptism. but maybe we hadn’t been teaching him WHY he should get baptized. we felt like we had not been talking much about our Savior and that through baptism we can accept him as our Savior and we can return to live with him. so that is what we did. we prepared a lesson focusing a lot on the atonement and we shared it with him. i don’t know if that is what helped him to be baptized, but yesterday he was baptized and it was an awesome meeting. elder cunha baptized him and it was a miracle that we won’t forget. it seemed like all week we didn’t have much faith that he would be baptized. then when we found out he would, we almost didn’t believe. I know for sure that this is God’s work and that he will make whatever miracle needs to happen, if it is his will.

because of this week we have been studying more about the Savior and i really know that He did what the prophets said He did. i know the atonement is real! and our part to follow him and put the atonement in our lives is so simple. i am so grateful for it.

on tuesday we went to the center of fortaleza to the place that we do the marriages and we finished signing all the paper work for carlos and ruthiele´s wedding. so this friday we will return and they will be married. then on saturday we are preparing their baptisms! so pray for them and that everything will work out.

this is the last week of the transfer. i am kind of sad. i don’t know what will happen and i love this place and my companion!  but all will be good!

i know that this is God’s church, Jesus Christ is our Savior, the atonement is real, the book of Mormon is true and Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet!!
