Hello!!!!!!

hello!!! what is going on with everyone? i hope that everything is good.
well what happened with the transfer???.............. a lot happened
actually!............... and yes i was transfered. i am now sitting in
an area called nova metropole and i am in the caucaia zone! well to
pronunciation these words is kind of difficult. ha-ha. nova means new.
just so you know and i would say the pronunciation for caucaia would
be." cow-ky-a". i think that will come out right for you!

my new companion is elder gardasz. he is from curitiba. It’s in the southern
part of brasil and he has about 10 months on his mission! he is
awesome! i already like him a lot and we will be zone leaders in this
area. caucaia is a city outside of fortaleza. it is pretty far from
the office where elder king is. but it is super pretty here. there are
some pretty big mountains and a lot of green trees. it will be really
cool to stay here.

but saying good bye was not easy.  it was really sad. there
were so many people that i have met in sumare that i will never forget.
saturday was elder cunha´s birthday and a lot of people did a party for
him. monica, marcelle, luana, and a lot of people that we baptized put
together a video for him of them baring their testimonies. it was
really cool. we watched it and then we ate cake. then after we ate
monica told us that she had one more thing for us to see. so we went
back to the tv and they had made a video for me too. it was really
special. it was a happy moment. but to say goodbye was really hard, but
yesterday i was happy because i was able to say good bye to pretty
much everyone. it is so awesome to get to know such a wonderful
people. they for sure have changed my life in so many ways.

sunday when we got to church, as we walked into the sacrament
meeting bishop asked me to speak at the last minute. i got pretty
nervous, but i talked about the gospel. it was a pretty cool
experience. i love the gospel!

it was also difficult to leave elder cunha. we were really good
friends and i am grateful that we were able to serve together. we were
able to learn a lot together.

this last week on wednesday we had a meeting with president. he
called all the zone leaders in and taught us some of his plans and
what he expects out of us. let me say that he is really obedient and
he will definitely expect obedience out of all of us. it should be
really good with president Souza. i think that he will require a lot of
sacrifice. which will definitely be a blessing
well i don’t have much more to say or there is so much to say
and i don’t have words to explain. but i want you all to know that i
love my mission. the first of this last week was pretty tough because
we weren’t having to much success. but i truly know that the Lord
blesses us in many ways. when i was able to see the people we baptized so
grateful for the messages we brought to them, it made all the difficult
days worth it. i know that this gospel changes lives. it is our
salvation. only through it we can come to know our Savior who is real.
i know he is real. i know that the book of Mormon is true and that
Joseph Smith is a true prophet.
i love you all so much! i am so grateful for the things you all do to
support me. thank you so much!! keep it up and keep going!!!

Love elder T. Larsen
