Hello There!!!!

hellloo familyyyy!
what is going on in your neck of the woods? lots of good stuff i hope! i hope the summer is nice and warm for all.

well on this end, things are going pretty good. we have kind of sad news. wenderson was not baptized. we worked really hard with him all week because he had many doubts. his doubts were mainly about revelation. he says that he knows a guy that is really old that tells his future and usually everything he says happens. he really believes that this guy receives revelation for other people. so with much care we tried to explain that revelation is something really sacred that we can receive for our selves or for our family but not for other people we can’t.  he seemed like he was understanding but when he was interviewed he still had all these doubts. so we are going to help him some more this week. he is so awesome. he is very humble and willing to learn and follow. but because of some deep beliefs its kind of tough for him. but we have made a goal with him that this sunday he will be baptized. so lets pray that he receives an answer and gains a strong testimony. he already has stopped drinking coffee, so he is ready to go.

marcos couldn’t make it to church this sunday. but he brought his sister that is 27 years old. we have been teaching them both. so now we can work with them to get them baptized. i think that their interest is growing. oh bytheway her name is simone. so pray for them.

this area is a bit different. the people here are having a hard time taking on the appointments. so this week we are pretty much going to start from zero to find new people to teach. it can be frustrating. but i know that God will bless us. we are trusting in him.

i have learned that to do this work, we have to love it and have love in our hearts for everyone. even the people that don’t accept. we have to love them and give them all the chances so that they can accept the truth. sometimes it’s hard not to get discouraged. but if we keep going, doing all we can we will always see miracles.

one of the good things about this area is that every p-day all the young men get together at 4:oo to play soccer. it is sweet. our house is right next to the church. wenderson is going to come and play with us to.

my companion and i are doing good. he is an awesome elder. very excited and i can tell that he really loves this work. it is so great to have a companion with this kind of desire. he’s the man! he also wanted me to send a loveing handshake to all. usually when brasilians send letters they always send hugs and kisses at the end. but since we are missionaries he wanted to send a really strong handshake!
i love you all dearly! thank you for all the help! i know that Jesus is the Christ. His atonement is so amazing! it is the only power that can get us back to our Heavenly Father. so lets trust in Him. He will help us through everything. i know that the book of Mormon is true. the book of Mormon is amazing! it opens our mind and helps us understand our Savior in a very simple way. i know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and i know that Thomas S. Monson leads and guides us.
Have a great week! be safe and have fun!
