21 Years!

welp... its true i am old!  its crazy huh!!  21 years old! i feel like i am much younger than this. ha-ha!  21 is not too old! its the prime of life... i hope!!
well my birthday was a good day. many good things happened and yes mom… i was taken care of. the first thing that was really cool was when we were getting to church, at the same time Monica and Marcella showed up. they are from sumare, remember. they came to see me on my birthday! it was really neat. they are doing great and loving their lives in the gospel. marcelle even gave a talk at church two weeks ago. she was pretty proud about that. then after church at night we went to a members house and they had a party for me. they made a lot of food. it was really nice of them. they had cake and really good hot dogs and a passion fruit desert. it was delicious. wow!!! and we were able to watch the dvd that you guys sent me. it was so good to see you all and your lives. i will send pictures of these events. saturday night we made the cake that you sent me and did a little party. it was fun. the cake was super good. i like the firework star. that was intense! so that’s pretty much what happened. it was fun.
the sad part about our week was that no one was baptized. we had three people lined up. saturday all three were interviewed. but yesterday no one was home and they didn’t go to church. i felt really sad.
we weren’t even planning on baptizing rogerio. he was really excited about it all week. but then on saturday we went to his house and he was really excited and wanted to be interview. but he didn’t go to church.
then we were teaching isaias all week. he progressed really fast. but then his dad got into the middle of it. his dad is from another church and started telling us and isaias that what we said wasn’t true. isaias didn’t believe in him, but it made him confused. he passed the interview, but i don’t think that he got parent permission.
and adao is juniors brother, that was baptized a couple of weeks ago. he went to church last week and progressed really well. but sadly he does not understand the importance of baptism yet. so we will be teaching him a little more this week.
our teaching pool is kind of struggling, we are teaching a lot, but the people aren’t committing. but that won’t stop us. we know that this week will be better and that we will find people that will progress.
i know that faith is important and that God gives us opportunities to use it.
well i must go. i love you all so much! i am so grateful for you, and that you are my family! this church is true! Lets keep enduring to the end!
Love Elder T. Larsen
