Hello Yall

well how was the week!? how is everyone doing? anything new happened!?

i hope that everyone is doing great!

Happy Birthday Lindsey! i hope that saturday was a very special day

for you! thank you for everything you have done for me. keep on being

awesome. send me pictures and coments about your birthday. i want to

know!

wow that must have been really neat to see grandma and grandpa´s

homecoming. lots of family went. sounds like you all had a blast.

After reading the news of my good friend daniel gurr, my heart truly

aches. what an awesome person he was. in high school, i don´t know if

there was a person that i respected more than him. he was a true,

loyal, and dedicated friend. i will truly never forget the person that

he was. his leadership was unforgettable. in times that i thought

games were over, he always pulled us up. that is a true leader. he

deserves all the thanks and all the praise i could ever give. i

learned a lot from him! he always expressed his love for his friends

and i know that he truly loved us and i love him for all that. i

always called him my hero. and to this day i can can say that he is a

hero and will always be in my heart.

well this last week was good. we had a lot of things that didn’t work

out. a lot of investigators weren’t home or didn’t want to hear

anymore. but we kept working hard and yesterday at church we were able

to get several people to church.

for this week we can have several people prepared for baptism. they

are maria who we have been preparing for the last month. marcos and

simone, a girl named marilia, and a young man named iago. i know that

God will bless us. through our faith, miracles can happen.

on wednesday and thursday we had leadership meetings with president

Souza. it was very interesting. we were able to learn about his goals

and how we can make goals to meet the mission goals. we also

reorganized a lot of things on the mission. it was really cool

this transfer is only 5 weeks. so this is the last week. i don’t know

if there will be any changes. but pray for the best.

i am really happy to hear about dad´s new calling. that is going to be

so awesome for you two. the work of the Lord is the best thing ever! i

love it and i know that you will too.

i really do know that this church is true. i am so grateful for the

gospel. i am so grateful to know of the plan of salvation. especially

on days like today. i know that through Jesus Christ we can get

through hard times and that one day we can live in a state of happiness

forever. i love my mission. it has taught me precious and simple

principles of life and i am so glad that i still have time. i pray

that i can continue to learn all that i can.

i love you all so very much. thank you for everything. if you can, tell

gurr´s parents that i love them and am praying for them!!

US Marine Sergeant Daniel Gurr

A US Marine Corps press officer has confirmed that 21-year-old Marine Sergeant Daniel D. Gurr was shot and killed in action by enemy forces during a patrol in Sangin district on Friday 5th August 2011.

Sgt. Gurr, from Vernal, Utah, served with the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), based at Okinawa, Japan.

He graduated from Uintah High School in 2008 and joined the Marine Corps shortly afterwards.
